Directly Play Ultra HD Content

Unlike other Ultra HD TVs, LG Ultra HD TV comes equipped with HEVC Decoder which enables it to play Ultra HD content by itself. There is no need to separately purchase UHD Player or an additional Kit. The inbuilt HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) Decoder enables LG Ultra HD TV to play highly compressed high resolution files. 
HEVC is the normally used video compression standard with double the data compression ratio compared to H.264/MPEG-4 AVC at the same level of video quality. It can alternatively be used to provide substantially improved video quality at the same bit rate.

UCI (ULTRA CLARITY INDEX)

ULTRA Clarity Index is a comprehensive indicator specialized for ULTRA HD TV's picture quality.
